The Anatomy of a 6-Figure Referral

The story I’m about to share is one that may seem like chance…
It’s not.

It may seem like one in a million…

It’s not.

And, it may seem as though it’s far from your reach…

I can assure you, it’s not.

Small actions, lead to big results. This is a fundamental truth I’ve come to understand.

I’m now a year into a client relationship that’s delivered over $100,000 in revenue.

Not the biggest client I’ve had in my career, but certainly big.

The funny thing…

Like almost all of my other “whale” clients over the last 20-years, they didn’t arrive on my doorstep following some grand plan to go “hunt” them. (That’s a clue.)

They came, referred to me as THE person who could solve their rather significant problems.

Now, here’s the kicker…they were referred by someone I’d never met and did not know.

The referral came from someone who got my Referral Kit™ from my website.

They got this daily email for about six months.

For six months I showed up…was the expert in their inbox…built a relationship (a place in their world).

I demonstrated my value again and again.

And when they had a client with a need I could fill, I had their attention…I was in their inbox that day.

So when asked by their client… “Who can help us with X?”

It was EASY for them…I was right there. They “knew me.”

And their client called me, not asking what I charged, not asking for references, only asking this…

“Will you help us?”
