Last Wednesday, we had one of our largest “referral events”. A partner promoted us to his very large list of followers.
1391 of them were “referred” to us and registered for a webinar on Wednesday.
Until, 20-minutes into the webinar, the sound stopped. I spoke, no one heard.
We didn’t know it at the time, but our friends at GoToWebinar dropped a bridge line silencing me and a pile of other webinars happening at the same time.
Not the experience you’d want to give to newly referred prospects…or to your Promoter.
Sometimes bad things happen, and when they do, you’ve got to own the outcome.
I learned from a million-dollar client, now 18-years ago, that the reason he paid us a premium fee on every project was, in his words, “Because you lean into problems. Things happen and I always know you’ll fix it and make it right.”
We did then and we are now, for our Promoter and all of his referrals.
